Landscapes
FROM WAVE TO PARTICLE is the result of color space transposition work; from lights to pigments.
Frames are extracted from the various videos made by the studio in analog electronic form, using video synthesizers, and are then transformed into frames using the fine art standard. During the process, it is necessary to translate the RGB system into the CMYK color system, and this stage involves both an expansion and an adaptation to the new colored reality of the frame, which goes from virtual to material, from intangible to tangible; It is the luminous spectrum that becomes a palpable immobile object.
In the images titled Landscapes, the frames still receive digital treatment. An effect generated by computers reveals a topography specific to those colors in the original frame. And this topography can be scaled and positioned in an infinite black space, revealing images of a possible terrain composed of the visible electromagnetic spectrum itself, with characteristics peculiar to the configuration of that single frame.
This is the studio's research in search of another materiality and three-dimensionality in the video. It generated the installation Triple Color Frame and the Triple Color Black Box object.
Triple Color Frame is an installation that includes a frame for projections that generates a stereoscopy effect (3D vision) without the use of glasses. It is made up of 3 layers of blue, green and red filo fabric, superimposed on an infinite black wooden background. When not being projected, the frame generates an interesting Moiré pattern.
Triple Dimension Video Research
Triple Color Black Box came from the idea of creating a work of video art that would be contained in an object. The box contains a portable video projector and five analog filters, three with red, green and blue fabric and two magnifying lenses in a wooden casing.
