CAPSLOCK; a music platform for DJs, producers, artists, performers, stylists, and visual artists. Since 2011, Carlos Capslock has been one of the most revolutionary characters in São Paulo nightlife. Strange, irreverent and funny, it has changed the concept of the dance floor for most clubbers in the last 10 years. Little by little the party became a reference in the underground movement in São Paulo and throughout Brazil. Considered one of the most fun and insane parties, it offers a unique experience in each edition for the public. CAPSLOCK is a party that represents São Paulo; a multiple, multifaceted city, condensing different cultures, genres, tastes and styles in the same urban space.
Immersion Track
The Festival was divided into three thematic tracks. IMMERSION was the biggest track at the festival. Aimed at the hypnotic and dark sound of techno, it featured a huge central monolith made up of LED panels and surrounded by show lights, all controlled from a central unit by Visual Jockeys and Light Jockeys from the Modular Dreams studio. The content of the video visual was completely audio-reactive and authorial.
We create our videos in the studio, using an analog video synthesizer and cutting several samples that are mixed, manipulated and distorted live into several layers that mix in different ways. All visual patterns can be manipulated, such as speed, size, brightness, saturation and other constituent elements of the image.
Imagination Track
The IMAGINATION track was focused on the warmest sound of house music. For this scenography we chose to create an atmosphere of more glamor and less high tech, evoking New York and Andy Warhol's studios in his silver era, with lots of mirrored fabric, balloons and chrome ribbons in total harmony and synergy with the city's listed architecture. Fabriketa in the Brás neighborhood. All of this was complemented with special lighting, always manipulated with great atmospheric and musical sensitivity by our Light Jockeys.
Subversion track
The SUBVERSION track was a track that innovated by providing a space exclusively dedicated to bands and live acts. For this space we created an environment where the light itself was scenographic, highlighting the artists and the peculiar space where the shows took place.
