Luminous Signs - 2019
Inspired by the French “Nuit Blanche”, in São Paulo the event features a diverse program distributed throughout the center. Virada Cultural seeks, first and foremost, to promote coexistence in public space, inviting the population to take ownership of the city center through art, music, dance and popular demonstrations.
In the 2019 edition of Virada Cultural, we were asked to create and assemble two giant arrows to guide people's path during the night journey through the traditional and historic center of São Paulo.
Visual interventions at Laço e Palco Vj - 2016
At Virada Cultural de São Paulo in 2016, the duo was invited to participate in Laço's visual interventions at Happy Hour da Virada on Friday, and on Saturday they were part of the PalcoVj program, organized by the expanded audiovisual network AltAV.
LAÇO aimed to be a platform for promoting the work of new artists, and also to consolidate itself as an environment for exchanging experiences that allows interaction between the public, artists and works. With no defined periodicity, the party transformed the Subsoil Space of the Paço das Artes into a place of sensory immersion, with projections and elaborate scenography. The event was led by Márcio Vermelho and Bruno Nogueira.
The Key to the Center - 2015
In 2015, the MD duo was called by Visualfarm to design the Chave do Centro project, created by VJ Alexis:
The Centro Chave Project is an attempt to use digital art projected in large formats as an attraction to attract people to the historic center of São Paulo at night, when this part of the city is often deserted. We hope it can be an inspiration for new formats of occupation in the center of São Paulo, using permanent projections as a new urban planning tool.
